Complaints Procedure
Our complaints procedures comply with Section 29 of the Education Act 2002:
Legislation - GOV.UKAdverse Weather Conditions
School Closure Notification System – Adverse Weather Conditions
In the event that we need to close Trotts Hill School at short notice, we will notify parents and carers through our SchoolComms communication system. Please also check our school website, where any closure announcement will appear prominently on the homepage banner.
The safety of pupils, staff, and families is always our highest priority. The decision to close the school is never taken lightly. In cases of severe weather, for example, the decision is based on several factors — including the number of teaching and support staff able to travel safely to school, which can impact the staff-to-pupil ratio.
We ask all parents and carers to ensure that their contact details are kept up to date so that we can communicate important information quickly and effectively.
If you have any questions about communication during adverse weather or need support setting up SchoolComms, please contact the school office.
