Home learning

Each week the children are expected to choose one activity to complete at home. The tasks are open ended and encourage creativity and enjoyment.

Children are welcome to print weekly pictures or create a written outcome.

Activities should be highlighted accordingly to demonstrate that home learning is completed.

The activities will be updated termly.

It is essential that the children continue to read every night, practise spellings and also practise their maths learning (number bonds/ timetables). Any reading completed should be written in your child’s reading record as normal.

End of year expectations for spellings and the spelling rules are in the homework book. The spelling rules will be taught in class.

In Upper Key Stage 2, homework will increase and will vary in order to prepare children for Secondary school.
