Katy M – has shown great commitment to her football team this year. She received a lovely trophy.
Sophie B – received a Merit for her ballet dancing.
Owen – Level 4 gymnastics certificate. Owen had to do cartwheels and different balances.
Rhys – Level 5 and 6 gymnastics certificate. Rhys loves tumbling in gymnastics!
Charlie and Evie-Grace T – Little Linguists Spanish certificates. They can say hello and count to 10 in Spanish.
Charlie Th – has his junior golf passport.
Hannah F – Ducklings 2 award for swimming. Hannah enjoys swimming and goes every week.
Chloe B – Talent for Writing certificate for her original poem. Her poem is in an official book!
Jake P – He has completed his first season at Arsenal-pre academy. He has also been playing at Stevenage! He won Manager’s player of the season. Jake also marched in the PRIDE parade in London. It was a long walk, but Jake did really well.

Out of school achievements

Jack A – He only learnt to ride his bike 2 weeks ago and has now completed a 4.2mile bike ride. Mum and dad are proud of his “can-do” attitude.
Lennon – has received a 10m swimming award. He showed determination to receive this.
Jake M – received a heavy trophy for being the Supporter’s Player of the Year at his football presentation. Jake has been a great goalkeeper this year. Jake’s family are immensely proud of his focus.
Preston – swam to the deep end and received his 15m award.
Brooklyn – dove to the bottom of the pool. He was proud of himself for being brave.
Bailey – received a Merit in her ballet exam.  She really enjoys ballet and practised lots to achieve this grade. She also took her Rainbow promise last week.
William P – played in a football tournament. William saved all the penalties in the penalty shootout.
Harry R – had to swim in his pyjamas! He received a certificate for Drowning Prevention Week.
Sienna A – had to do cartwheels without stopping. She has received her Level 5 award.

Out of school achievements

Molly J – has auditioned for the musical Nativity. Good luck Molly.
Teddy – has been captain of his team for the past year. He has proved himself to be a great role model on and off the pitch. He received the Players Player and Parents Player awards for the season.
Penny L – was a star patient at the hospital last week. Penny has been incredibly brave.
Indiana – took a tap exam in May. This is her second tap exam since September and she is working really fast. Indiana is now the youngest in her tap class!
Eleah – received her tap award. She made pleasing sounds and her technique is developing.
Hayden I – can now run the 2km park run in 11 minutes!
Charlie Th – received his Stage 3 award. He was nervous at first, but then was brave to try his best! He has moved up a group and can glide 10m.
Evie-Grace Th – received her white belt with a red tag and her white belt with a brown tag for martial arts.

Out of school achievements

Sienna S, Indiana, Eleah and Tynan – showed cooperative behaviour backstage at the Gordan Craig theatre on Wednesday evening.  They coped with quick costume changes and Mrs Cornish was proud to be their chaperone.
Alanna – has tried hard each week training for Bedwell football team. She has shown great commitment since September.
Evie-Grace, Charlie Th and Madison – received medals for raising money for prostate cancer on a charity walk.
Harley G – received the Manager’s player of the year trophy. He has shown commitment and great sportsmanship all season.
Carlo – has received an enormous trophy for playing football, even though things were tough at his club. His favourite match was the last match when he was playing in defence.
Indiana – danced in two pieces: tap and dance. She dressed as a troll in one and as a character from Moana in the other. Her best dance was tap, but her favourite costume was the Moana costume.
Freya – has shown courage and determination to climb up a very high climbing wall. She made it look very easy!
Aroosa – performed in a violin recital at Nobel. Her new music teacher said she is an absolute delight to teach.
Ben S – received Player of the year and ‘Player’s player’ trophies. He had a very good season this year. He was voted by the manager and his team members for player of the year.
Jack S – received a trophy for playing well as part of the team. His family are all very proud of him! He played every match and showed determination all season.

Penny L – has achieved her 100m swimming badge and certificate. She had to swim front crawl without stopping! She has also received her learn to swim 5 and her grade 4 water skills.
Neve – has achieved a few awards this week: grade 4 water skills, learn to swim stage 5 (swimming 25m) and 100m certificate and badge.
Evie Grace – she performed 2 street dance routines at the Gordan Craig. She showed great confidence.
Miss Williams and Mrs Mehan – they completed the Colour Run last week. They had to show perserverance and determination to finish the race!

Ben W – trampoline Level 6 and Level 7 awards. Ben is beginning to learn front flips.
Chloe B – has written a fantastic rhyming poem following the inspiration of the Young Writer’s competition.
Charlie S – had a football presentation last week and received Player of the Year. Over the whole season he has scored 29 goals, only one less than Harry Kane for Spurs! His favourite position to play is as a midfielder and his best goal was an overhead kick!
Mrs Murrill and Mrs Cornish – for their amazing tap dancing!

William P – won a medal for winning his very first football tournament.
Jessica H – auditioned in January for High School Musical and has been chosen to perform at the Gordon Craig.
Riley and Tanaka – received an enormous trophy for their Stevenage football match against Gloucester. They won 4-1 in the final. Also, they have both signed new contracts for the year with Stevenage Boro Academy.

Well done to the boys’ football team for WINNING THE LEAGUE!  They won all of their matches for the season. The team was: Jenson, Ollie, Jake N, Connor, Jayden, Dion, Teddy, Jake M, Tommy and Tanaka.

Charlie Th – achieved his best push up badge in Thai boxing. He also got to hold a bald eagle on his birthday at the weekend! It was nearly the same size as him!
Sasha – has been chosen to go to Hampton Court palace for the 500 word story writing final.
Molly J – she was one of only five students selected to perform in an aerial display in Harlow. Molly had to perform on a trapeze!

Lily F – has achieved both her 50m and 100m swimming badges. She had to swim 4 lengths without stopping! Lily definitely showed determination!  The expectation by the end of Year 6 is to swim 25m so this is a fantastic achievement as Lily is in Year 2!
George C – played in a rugby tournament last week. He had a few injuries but persevered. He received a rugby ball to help him practise at home.
Poppy C – came 3rd at Miracle Dance Festival. She had to keep smiling and use pointy toes. Poppy showed our learning behaviour Enjoyment!

Moeez and Farhan – they both raised money for Cancer Research along with their dad and elder brother. They went to Tesco and collected money.
Giulia – has taken part in her first play. She was acting in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. She played Professor Kirk. Giulia shared her line in assembly too!
Molly J – competed at the Royal Academy of Dance awards. Molly was selected for the final 8 dancers out of 90!
Alfie J – won Man of the Match twice over the Easter holidays.
Brooklyn – is now working towards his gold senior belt in Tae Kwon Do.
Preston – has received his purple belt in Tae Kwon Do. Preston is now working towards his red belt.
Hollie – faced her fear and went on the Vampire roller coaster at Chessington!

Football
During the Easter holidays Ollie C, Tanaka, Teddy and Riley C went to the Isle of Wight to play football. They were a credit to the school and themselves. Steve Cook (the district football coach) was impressed with their attitude and behaviour.  They came 2nd in the competition.

Lily F – has received her water skills award. She had to swim butterfly and breaststroke. Next she will be aiming to achieve her Level 5 certificate.
Miss Williams and Mrs Mehan – Ria was really proud of Miss Williams and Mrs Mehan for completing a very cold Muddy Run!

Joshua B – was brave when dancing in front of a large audience at the dance festival and has been completing extra maths at home!
Hollie L – has achieved her Level 5 gymnastics certificate. Hollie also entered a colouring competition at Christmas time. She won in Stevenage and came second out of the whole of the UK! Wow!

Lily-Anne F – Completed the muddy run last weekend, despite getting stuck in the mud! Lily said it was cold and rainy, but she showed determination to finish the race.
Summer T – Also completed the muddy run last weekend. Summer said she just kept on running! Charlie Ta also took part in the race, he said the lake was freezing cold!
Anya and Zara C – Anya is now in the dark blue hat group. She had to do a somersault and received her 100m badge! Zara is moving to green hat group. She achieved her 20m badge and has had to swim underwater. Zara is preserving with swimming and her favourite stroke is breaststroke.
Molly and Alfie J – both have received excellent results in their recent dance exams. Alfie achieved a distinction in his modern dancing and Molly achieved a distinction in her tap and modern dancing

William and Alicia D – went on a long walk at the weekend. They showed determination and perseverance on a particularly long, tricky hill! They felt a sense of achievement when they reached the top.

Florence O and Georgia S – Also received medals and certificates for performing confidently in ‘Matilda’ with Little Performers Performing Arts School. Florence received an ‘Above and Beyond Award’ for the amount of lines she had to learn for her role of Matilda.

There are lots of fantastic achievements this week:

Zara C – has been trained the martial art of karate. She has matured in her discipline and mental application. Zara now has her orange belt. She is working towards her green belt next.
Anya C – has received her orange belt in karate. She completed her grading by learning new moves. She is now working towards her green belt.
Neve M – received her Learn to Swim Level 5. Neve had to swim front crawl. Next, Neve will be learning to swim 25m.
Susannah M – has been successful in her Grade 1 modern theatre dance. She received a Merit.
Alicia D – achieved a Merit in her Grade 1 ballet exam. She has also learnt how to use a sewing machine so has made cushions for all of her family!
Josh B – he has moved up a swimming class and is now in lane swimming classes. Josh is trying new things and has also joined Beavers.
Laila F – passed her Grade 2 piano exam with a Merit. She had to play 3 pieces, perform scales and complete an oral exam.
Jessica H – auditioned for High School Musical and got the part! She will be performing at the Gordon Craig Theatre.
Georgia S – received player of the match for rugby. She played 4 games in Letchworth last week. She also received gymnast of the week at her gymnastic group!
Dexter S – has received his Grade 5 at gymnastics. He works hard every Saturday morning to keep up the good work!

Jayden T and Jessica H – outstanding behaviour at the Gordon Craig for their Wizard of Oz dress rehearsal 
Florence O and Georgia S – performing fantastically at Dance Mania at the Gordon Craig
Georgia S – has been given the nickname the “Tackling Machine” from her rugby team.
Georgia has strengths as a team player and shows determination when trying to score tries.
